Usually, this is the day of the week that I hate most, but I got more than 5 hours of sleep last night and there are only 3 days until
I hope you all had a great weekend! Mine was pretty low key, except for the fact that I GOT TO SEE CATCHING FIRE. It everything I wanted it to be and more. I laughed, I cried, I got mad that Plutarch didn't show Katniss his watch, but mostly I fangirled. It is every book lover's dream that the movie adaptation is true to the story line and it was for the most part. I want to see it again and again. What are you waiting for? Walk away from the computer and go see it - I'll wait. When you get back we'll discuss Finnick's abs and Effie's eyelashes.

ReplyDeleteYeah, I giggled ALLL the way through the elevator scene. Boyfriend hasn't read the books yet (though I think I finally convinced him to after this movie), so he didn't find it quite hilarious as I did. Plus I think there is legit something wrong with him because he isn't nearly as obsessed with JLaw as I am, and I'm pretty sure that all normal and self-respecting people fancy themselves besties with her like I do, because she is basically the coolest thing ever. So there's that. Also, I just got carried away here. Whoopsie.

ReplyDeleteI know this is probably lame, but I'll never forgive the casting folks for teasing me with Finnick being played by the guy who plays Dr. Avery on Grey's Anatomy (Jesse Williams.. UNF), and then instead it's some dude with blonde hair. UGH. When I re-read the book, I was happily picturing Jesse as Finnick, and then this post reminded me that they went in another direction. Boo!
